Just so i know, whats the point of attendin a show w/ your car if you cant drive there? I'd rather go to my local drive thru...but thats just me.
Here are some pics of my buddy's Delray. He's had the car since high school and just recently repainted it back to the original color(used to be white). He plans to run supremes or tru's, but he picked up the D's for cheap, so he's running them for now.
All i can say is the lowrider cars are a work of art. Beautiful attention to detail and the paint jobs are "the best". King of the mercs!!!!!
I don't know if I posted these. This was famous local (Socal) car that was built and driven regularly by builder Dale Gould in the early 70's. This thing was "the shit" back then. STUGOTS!
Bonez, you just caused me coronary trouble- the square-tops were my all-time favorite of all the Rivs. Thanks for posting those! Groucho: When was that car built?
You sure did, not sure how many years ago, but yeah. i saved this combo of your scans from that thread....sure these last ones are better being bigga. check that flat front tire! damn sin to let such a car un-cared.... how was this called? The Tulip? btw did your pal found iT? I think ive read somewhere on the other board that your friend that owned it was lookin for it.
mine too, but im now torn between 63 and 72....ahah... heres more from the old Cali files and the new Jap files....Sidewinder and La Serape deserved more than one shot....
Yeah, I though I already posted those. But, I just learned how to use my scanner, so I though these were better. My friend Tony's been looking for that Caddy for yrs. He's friends with the guy that built it back in the early 70's. We're afraid it's been crushed
We don't know anything. But, Tony's really looked for it and may have been told it's presumed crushed. Dale sold it to some bonehead that really neglected and thrashed the car terribly. So, to think it was crushed isn't too hard to believe
