Hello fellas, I am trying to identify the 'old school' mechanics/shops in the Philadelphia area that work on '60s and earlier cars. Also specialists that can build a 3 or 4 speed trans, setup a rearend, etc. Also high perf./machine shops/ race car shops. Any names, numbers, addresses appreciated. These guys are getting harder to find these days.

Good luck. Jesse Miller Machine Shop in West Chester might be a good start. There are a few people out that way, not all of them are goo though.

yes jess millers shop is gone but his still does work for somebody else I think the shop is in oxford, maybe. but the shop i work at Francis Automotive we do work on olders cars, as far as settin up rears and trans rebuilds not really our gig. for that type of work i have used eagle trans and rear in eagle, PA really nice work never had a problem with their work. as for our shop give us a ring and we can take care of just about anything aside from body work.
