A lot of you know my dad and how close I am with him..... most of my friends know how hard my move to Texas has been because of it. My dad is super proud of the stuff I've done and he LOVES it here..... but I miss him.

A couple times a year he comes to visit and trys to stay for a few weeks....while he's here he drives his roadster non stop and hangs out at the Continental Club. He always talks about putting a band together to play around Austin, but hes just not here long enough to pull it off.

This year me and mark played our annual spot at Trophy's during the Round up and it was great, then we were scheduled to play at the *** party, but I wanted to do something different so I had my dad play a few songs with us..... it was unplanned but super fun!

The dynamic between mark and I bashing our way through songs, backing up my dad's seasoned 50's style..... is kind of neat.... so I called El Jefe to see if there were any open slots at the Continental while my dad was in town..... he found a couple slots and put us on and I can't thank him enough! Its such a great opportunity for my dad to fill his dream of playing there and me being able to be part of it..... its just super cool.

Last Tuesday night we played the first of three shows and it was a blast..... sometimes a sloppy mess, sometimes super bad ***, but really FUN!!

The next two shows are Monday April 18th at 11pm and Monday April 25th with the Ugly Beats....

Anyway if you austin guys want to come out and support my dad ruling the Continental that would be awesome! if not cool, but I just had to share.... my dad makes Austin AWESOME!!

Bob, I like your dad, he's a cool dude.

I lost mine exactly two years ago today, we were never very close but he was smart as whip and I wish he were here to guide me through this.

Just letting you know wife and I enjoyed you and your dads music at the A.S.S. show. We also saw you guys out and about in Austin. Love the car. Just saw the chop clip on Mad Fabricators. P***ed it on to a buddy who hasn't seen it. Keep doing all the fun stuff just make sure to post it on here. I'm sure I'm not the only one who loves hearing about it.

Damn that's awesome. The bond between you guys and the common interests is really nice too see. Something tells me that even if you guys had completely different interests you'd still be that close and he'd be just as proud of you as he is right now.

Good DAD's are rad to have and when you see the bond between one and his son it's infectious and inspiring. I want to be great dad and my father along with dad's like yours are where the bar is has been set. Put on your big boy pants gentlemen, this is how it's supposed to be. You guys are too ****ing cool.

Its awesome to see other guys that have such a close bond with their dads, mine is definitely my hero, mentor, and best friend all in one. It ****s to be so far away ,Im in Alaska and he's in New York. Unfortunately he doesnt care for it here, so Ive decided that in the next two-three years I will sell my home here and we have made a pact to move back to Oregon where I grew up.
I feel kinda bad for folks that dont have such a bond, It definitely seems to get better as we get older, and I cant wait to be wrenching and cruising with my pops again ...

Saw Mr Bleed Sr on the Monday after the Round Up at the Continental Club watching Dale Watson do his stuff, took the time to shake his hand as we were leaving and compliment him on the A.S.S. set.

    Cool roadster too.

Cherish the bond you have with your pops. Unfortunately I did not have a great relationship with mine. Our interests and work could not have been more opposite. He was a career Air force Pilot and I turned out be a hot rodder, mechanic, fabricator..................two worlds that collided more than I could ever have imagined..............but that's life, not as you might have wanted. He died over 5 years ago and near the end we sort of called a truce and I miss him more than I ever thought possible.
