me and my old man been goin back n forth about chopin the top to my 31 pickup. i dont plan i lowerin it any time soon but i wanna get a better look. should i chop it or not what u guys think its the same truck thats in my picture. if i do chop it im prob gonna go with a 3in.

  2. Unless I was considering building an east coast ride (no chop and a ton of channel) I would give it a whack. Maybe not chop it a ton but it does need to look a little squashed at the very least.
Of course that is just my opinion.

For me, if left high, unchopped, if lowered, chop is o.k.

  5. Your profile says the pickup was your grandfathers. Before you chop it, think about what he would have wanted and let that be your guiding factor......

I might chop it a little bit (3 in.), but if you're not going to lower it, the truck might look a little confused.

Well, I'm nearly 6'4" so the logical side of my brain says don't chop...

But the logical side of my brain happens to the the smaller side...

Fenderless 'A' trucks look better chopped IMO.

Chop it! Make a cardboard template for every inch you were thinking of dropping and choose....but you must chop! Ain't no doubt about it.

Mark the A Pillar 3" and 4" and take a nice large digital photo of the side or 3/4 view... email it to me and I'll photoshop it so you can see what it'll look like with the chop....

Well, what did you decide? Can we see the photochops, or other pictures of your truck? Love the way it looks in your avatar!
