    Checked with Dad, He says it's the U.S. Easy Red beach (Omaha) the day after D-Day before the big storms hit.

    4 Brothers in WWII. Third from the left uncle Vic was Hermann Goerings guard at the Nuremberg trial, in the old movies he's the Guard standing at the middle door on the right side.

    Memories of the old drive-in theaters starting with playing on the swings at the drive-in to the time I was able to drive into the drive-in with a date.

  5. I remember getting fogged by the mosquito sprayer when I was on the playground. I still don't get bothered by bugs........cough, hack.

    My father-in-law was in one of those trucks at Omaha Beach. He was an avid Harley enthusiast before the war and I suppose having had a bunch of them over the years the Army figured he had the mechanical experience they needed in the Motor Pool. After the war he opened a Gas Station in Washington, DC, later moved his operation to the Maryland side of the line. Boxall's Amoco at Riggs and Chillum Road.

    Yep!---Thats why it was so imortant for UDT (Frogmen) to get important tide data back to hdqtrs. prior to amphibious landings.(such as in Inchon,Korea)--Tide drops 17 ft.!!!!!!!!-------Don
