Here is a different idea for rear bumpers. These came from a late 60s Triumph GT-6 sports car. They mount with two stainless brackets with captive nuts so undo two bolts per side and they lift off. Had to grind the radius slightly to get clearance to look right. They'll be all right for this summer and will rechrome them next winter. I think they look like shrunk down '55 Pontiacs.

Oh and I am moving license plate down to the pan next and smoothing the trunk. Good thing my kid can pinstripe as he will have to do the lid again, maybe for Father's Day, eh?

Emma Jean's paint is Sherwin Williams Urethane Enamel. I call it "Sunshine Gold" but I'll get hold of the paint supplier to find out soom. I do think he said it was a Ford color from the '80's.

I'll get the code number asap.

Thanks for the kind remarks too. I kinda like it myself: ... I did the body prep work and the painters at Earl Sheib, here in Tucson, did the final application spray

  24. Well, Here are some updates on my 51, it started life as a 4 door, chopped 5" in the front, who the hell know how much in the rear (i think that was too much), shaved drip rails... rotted upside down haha well... here it is !

    Good Luck

There are some beautiful old Fords here. I especially applaud the guys who take on a big project in a foreign country!

Got a few good pictures of my car taken last weekend. I am really enjoying this car. Love driving it around. Just need to get a few more of the small bugs worked out and some panels aligned and she will be dialed in good.
