wow,shes definatley a fighter..went thru something similar with my oldest step son when he was 20..he was in for a month and a half.....my prayers are with her ...bless you all.......whid

 

I got this eMail from hotrodharry2 yesterday:

"I and maybe others would like to send Julie a card while she is in the hospitol. According to the hamb web site, we have her address at the hospitol but not her last name. Could you add it to this comment section and help us out."

So I thought it would maybe help her spirits if Harry, and any others, had her last name for sending cards to her in the hospital. Many thanks.

Julie I'm praying for your full recovery...been in really bad shape a number of times myself, so I know that prayers from those who care can really help. God bless.

Julie is still in very critical condition. She is still on the oscillating ventilator and in an induced coma. This is day 48. Her immune system isn't pulling it's weight and her lungs are just not healing.

The pulmonary specialist said they would be placing her back on the regular ventilator before Wednsday. If her lungs don't respond well, She told me that there isn't much more they can do.

I wish I had better news or more details. I can't even think straight right now.

So Very Sorry To Hear. That just sends a cold bottom less feeling in the pit of my stomach. I'm still pulling for Julie on this Good Friday. Lets all pray for another Easter merical.

Any updates about Julie ? Not a day goes by without my thinking about how she is doing.

 

Yes Please Let Us Know How She Is doing...

 

Julie is still in critical condition. They have placed her back on the regular ventilator. She has been on it for 6 days and is tollerating it ok. This allows them to slowly reduce her sedation. She is no longer in the induced coma but is still very sedated. Her eyes were open last night. She is semi-coherent and can respond by blinking her eyes.

She is far from "Out of the woods" and still has a nurse assigned to her room 24/7. She is on day 57 of this thing.

Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts. She does need them.

I know I have said this before.. But I have to say it again. The staff in the I.C.U. at San Antonio hospital are awesome. They have treated her with serious care and compassion. They are on top of her needs in a flash and always show total respect for her. One of the nurses was going on vacation on monday, On saturday she told me she had a dream that when she returned, Julie would be up, walking and breathing on her own. Another nurse calls in on her days off and checks on her. It is not just a few, It is the whole staff.

Great to hear things are going in a positive direction. Yes, there is still a long way to go and still not out of the woods. Still great news just the same.
