    Cochran ran the 427 Ford wedge on nitro. He later mounted a blower.
     
  3. BC's very own Jack Williams. Very early pics, while it still had a front mounted blower. Then some more recent ones. One of Drag Racing's most beautiful cars ever!

    It's from an old issue of Hot Rod Parts Illustrated. I was pretty sure that was your truck but the caption didnt mention your name. I wa going to PM you the picture and ask about it but I forgot, I'm glad oyu saw it. I'll look through them again tomorrow and let you know which issue its in.

    Oh, so in 1969, Mike Jones found you guys "worthy" of their fabled event, unlike 1968. He finally took notice that the Blue Hell Corvair was running excellent numbers with consitency since '68. And yes, its an era long dead and never to return. The "youngsters" have only our recollections and written accountings of how it used to be.
