Hopefully I can do justice to all the hard work that Brian Fox of King Chassis has put into my new car. He can post pic's if he chose's too. If not, you'll have to wait till it's done.

Hey look at this thread!!! ha,ha. Funny what you find when you search the word "dragster".
Here is a couple of pics. things pretty busy around here.
Nice to build a car for a guy like ChassisResearchKid we have become friends over the phone the past year and a half. And we are about the same person. Just makes it easy for me knowing what is on my mind fabrication wise he will agree with. We are two guys born about 25 years too late.
AND FINALLY ANOTHER DIRECT DRIVE , CLUTCH CAR!!!!!!!!
Didnt I say already that we are alot alike. Except brands of beer. Damn northerners!

I have had this happen to me here and else where and gotten into the habit of typing long replies in Word and then copy and pasting it over here. The side benifit is in Word it catches all my speeling errors.

Ok , still couldnt get pics to load here on the HAMB. So I finally relized " Hey use Photobucket dummy" YEAH!!

This is going to be a legal car for ChassisResearchKid (Todd). He already has a vintage dragster Comp Coupe. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=333926&highlight=hollish

So this is the car that will look old (other than the 5pt cage) but be NHRA legal to race at any track.
The car is going to be a small chevy, direct drive with a reverser. It will also be sporting a complete full body with a chute tail!! So I guess you wont see the 5pt cage after all!!! Alot of my cars have chute tails. Gotta love them chute tails.

So here are some pics , finally.
I will up date this thread once a week with progress photos. Probably every Monday.

Torsion bar and front axle on.
Next is some hair pins to locate the axle. That would be done but ran short on tube. Will order some on wed.

Mounted the steering my favorite way. With one arm off the side.

Looks nice. Whats the length of the car? Was your steering designed this way for clutch/trans removal?

Sorry C.R.K., this question is for Brian. Why are the drivers of these late fed's sitting up so high in the chassis? They look like there sittin' on a bar stool... Bowtie40
