This thread is so sad! So many great cars being used as flower beds! Soo awful! There is a place in Nebraska off of route 80 that I have passed before. There are some seriously nice cars there. Unfortunately it is in the middle of nowhere. The next time I pass the place I'll take some pictures. There is about 20 cars in the guys fron yard and they all have great potential.

I like the nose of your CTS peeking threw the fence. Reminded me of when I went to inspect my 57 after a couple three fore years of sitting.

That car of your's is MINT !!!

Ah hell it doesn't matter what it is. Sure would look bitch'n with a straight axle, big M&H's, some period correct torq thrusts and a Strange Bird blown and INJECTED 401 Buick

A big congratulations to Royal Shifter for the thread reaching 100 pages and 2,000 posts! And in little more than two years. There's always something cool -- or heartbreaking -- to see on this thread, thanks to great contributions.

But I surely would like to see the title on that '41 LaSalle hearse that was recently mentioned. Since LaSalle became the Caddy 61 Series for 1941, that would be probably a unique '41 LaSalle. The grille looks like a Caddy, too, so I just don't know about the claim, folks.

The '41 LaSalle WAS definitely mocked up on Harley's drawing boards, but the Cadillac high command (not GM, per se) pulled the LaSalle plug for '41.

Looks like a small car body off of a kids carnival amusement ride. Not a real car.

Hi, Ed. No, buddy, I meant the one that was at Old Car City in Georgia. Someone said they were told it was a '41 LaSalle, and I just don't see how.

Looks like some of the cycle cars on the other post. Rear engine judging by the side vent.

:D Half to put the motor way out in front of the grille on a streched frame. Bad ass for sure

    Cool man!

And I say that all the time, asking never hurts!

I buy or am given cars and trucks that are out in the open that people lust after all the time merely because I ask about them. (also driving the right car never hurts, I usually show up in my fully restored 31 Pontiac when I ask :D)

  28. My friend Pat found this 52(?) Chevy wagon in the woods. Little finagling, a back ho, and some amateur tree felling, and it's his now! I'll try and go back and snap some pictures of the cars around it. Most of them had less than happy endings. The Sedan was rescued from a similar fate, but is much worse off than it looks.

A long restoration awaits the wagon, but a lot of the parts are in pretty shape. The 'floor' on the other hand is strictly a memory.
