By saying "these" do you mean this car?

I hope not. When this car is on the gound with a 31" tire on it. Your nose is at tire height.
But if you mean modern "sit up" cars. I dont know , I guess to see better. My thinkin is if shit goes bad , the lower your sitting. The more stuff might miss you.

    Simplicity,

If you want to take the clutch out. It is just as easy to remove the whole motor and do it on the ground. Than taking everything from the clutch back out of the car.

Wheelbase on this one is just over 140"

Brian, It don't look like my fat ass will fit. Can you widen her up a bit. I build all my cars so Todd can fit.

    Looks great.

I like to bend my axle so that the torsion bars attach below, then a single radius bar runs from chassis forward to top side of axle (it angles outward and intersect the axle in its' bend upward to the kingpin). Keeps it clean and a clear area for steering stuff.
This chassis has some great lines, very subtle stuff.

QUOTE=KING CHASSIS;6484155]Torsion bar and front axle on.
Next is some hair pins to locate the axle. That would be done but ran short on tube. Will order some on wed.

Hello everyone. This week got the steering done, hair pins made and the anti-rotation deviece done.

In the photos I have the car just sitting on the piece of 2x2 tube to get the front end high enuff for the radius rods not to get smashed.

I am going to move this on to my "saw ponys" when I can get two people over here to help me lift this thing. Then I can get the draglink put on it and start workin on the cage. Nothing looks better than a good ol' 3 point cage. Damn NHRA and their concrete walls. Back in the 60s you just slid around in the grass for a while.

Remember most of the hardware is just mock up hardware.

Man that looks AWESOME!!! You do some nice work King!!!

If he keeps the cardboard wheels he won't need wheelie bars!
