Get on this thing Texas Hambers. Everybody says they will do something if they knew where stolen things are, so NOW is the time!
Wow Just read post 93 and waiting on the skinny to see whats up.Keep this up top......................
I just said a little silent prayer that somehow, MAYBE this will trace back to recovery of the 34 Ford Coupe stolen in Ft. Worth last month and the 32 Sedan project also stolen in Tx. a couple of months ago. Maybe it's all connected to some bad MF outlaw tweekers in the area that are targeting classic hot rods and parts.
Maybe, but skinny's motor was stolen off a shipping truck, or at the dock. You never know though. Hope those cars you mention find their way back home too!
The guy is probably sitting there beside that engine looking at his watch right now, waiting for the knock on the door that's going to wreck his day. All the while, literally hundreds of us are on the internet waiting for news, possibly knowing more about his coming fate than he does. Sucks to be him I guess. If he didn't know the engine was stolen, I hope he has a good story. Ken
Ya never know where a HAMBer is or what they see. Nice, this is already interesting. Ya'll keep up the great work. Would be great to see a good outcome on this.
We only know half the story..over on the other thread they're discussin' whether "skinnydennis" settled already and if the freight company later found the flathead & may have legitimately sold it ..maybe to this guy?... who knows how it will play out but it will be interesting to see.
i stored my coupe while i played in rvn after discharge started cutting brush away from door to get it out .next a.m. someone had finished job for me and stole it i found i t guy said i sold it to him still know where it is 40 yrs ltr. hope the law in your area is better than it is in mine

It's a felony to steal from the freight line. At least this is what they told us when I worked on the dock for Yellow and also Roadway.
I guess we have all been deputized. The original poster needs to get a pat on the back also ,Great job all.
I really hope you didn't do that. It's one thing to be concerned but to meddle, that's not right. The proper people knew after the OP posted, our nosiness should be contained within the confines of these threads.
We should all call the number on the CL posters ad & thank him for storing and taking such good care of skinnydennis' motor...lol
