No LA, but my Uncle spent quality time there and some of these are from his "stash". Good eye though.

I think we can Doc... I know I want to! :p

That is too cool, just imagine the high speed pursuits and the pit maneuvers in that T... LOL

Look at the aftermarket bumpers and hub caps and I see a Royce Motor meter! (I recently got one for my 26 TT)

Doing those quick custom paint jobs is how I cut my custom-painting-teeth. We got big bucks for a quick turn around on those vans. We painted for Kar-O-Van, El Capitan Van Conversions and a couple of others. They threw thos windows in and did the interiors in a day. I'm glad those van-craze daze are over.

For what its worth....I would take the bodies of solid 1/8' think metal with todays electronics and safety mechanics...The cars back then were definitely easier to work on and the bodies lasted forever because the metal was so thick...Can beat the newer brakes, suspension and electronics though...I would love to go to the local Chevy dealership and get a 50' fastback body and frame with a 2011 mechanics...I had a 1949 Plymouth with a staight 6 that was like working on a singer sewing machine...Everything was so simple and you could really get in side the engine compartment and work on stuff....but you couldnt do more than 20 around a curve or the thing would roll like a beached whale..and dont even ask about the seats and vacuum wipers.....

another one from different angles. Notice that all the people were not "stick skinny" back in the day, a few of them ate rather well.

Oh, you mean your comment back in post # 25139?

See how it works? Even your last post, above, doesn't get it.
There are SO many posts, so many with the same basic subjects, that you MUST refer to the post number when making a comment about it or
you're just peeing in the wind. Keep trying, you'll catch on.

I really like the 1964 video of driving on Sunset Strip better, but heres someone's home movies of driving on the PA Turnpike in '53. Its kind of cool too.

Those are 28-early 29 Ford bumpers, the 'bolt' in the very ends holding the two together was deleted early in 1929.

They very well could be, but there was a number of aftermarket manufacturers who made nearly identical bumpers during that period.

That 26-27 T roadster never had any from the factory.

fuhget about it,, if ya click on the quote at the bottom of the post you're referring to,, it will include it when you post, but be sure and remove excess IMG statements so as not to clutter up the thread,, I'm sure someone else will chime in.. provided you're not using a Mac,,, then all bets are off
