GREAT Pics, I was there and didn't see have of what you got on film! You even got my 2 buddies in the back round in the pic with the Pinup and that red/ silver flame car. Cool and thanks for the great coverage! Love theLadies . Larry in Iowa

Looks like a great weekend, a lot of work went into the cars, the girls, and the lifestyle. great pics and coverage. it gave all of us who could not be there a sense of the atmosphere. I would like to be part of it one year.

If it's my coverage of the event that you don't get, I tried to include everything that there is about Viva Las Vegas. If you only go for the cars, then you would have missed some very cool stuff in the vendors area. And, there were some very pretty young ladies there who found it flattering to be asked to pose for a quick picture. I tried to include all of that.

This is my second time to attend the event and I totally "get it". It's not just about the cars. It's about the culture itself. It's young people, and old people for that matter, having fun, digging the music, totally enjoying themselves. Oh, sure, I looked out of place. I don't have tats or tribal piercings but I support those that do. That's why I like these events over the gold chainer type shows. There's no one upmanship going on. And there definitely isn't a bunch of old men sitting behind their cars in their foldout chairs. There's a high level of energy at Viva. It wore this old guy out!

Again, I tried to cover all of Viva from the vendors to the cars. If it was happening within the sight of my lens, I tried to capture it. But, when I went upstairs where the bands were playing, I chose to let the camera sit idle and not distract from those that were there to listen.

I'm glad that you enjoyed my pictures though. As a lurker more than someone who inputs on the board, I offered this thread more as a way of saying "Thanks" to everyone on the HAMB more than anything else. This board is definitely my favorite site to visit.

 

Great pics. Love the variety of cars. I am like everyone else and hope to get there one day.
