    Here is my great grandfather’s car. The pictures were taken in Woodland California in 1914. I believe the car is a 1910 Overland. My Grandmother is in the back seat next to her mother. The child sitting on my great grandmother’s lap is my great-aunt Marge that celebrated her 100th birthday last year.

    In September 1937 Mrs. Sally Halterman (above) became the is the first woman to be granted a license to operate a motorcycle in Washington D.C.
    Immediately after receiving her permit, Mrs. Halterman was initiated into the D.C. Motorcycle Club - the only girl ever to be accorded this honor at the time
