The Kustom Kings (Denison, TX) are coming in force this year. Two new members -- Buck Heath ['50 Chevy Fastback] and Dale Lackore ['55 Olds 4-door hardtop] are coming with Baker and me. Don't know about the other guys, but I sent my registration in Nov. 14, 2010. You put on a great show, and this is the one I don't miss.

We have three places that we suggest people to eat at and Murphy's is top on the list.
It is a locally owned second generation burger place. You have to start it off with a side
salad with their garlic house dressing and have the hot hamburger with "Gravey over all"
It is a local tradition and awesome..

Hey Augie Looking forward to seeing my kustom family again. It would be a kool photo op
to see your club rolling down the highway together. Looking forward to the chance to talk.

We're on the same page. I'm thinking a shot of us pulling away from the Gourmet Waffle Shop in Denison after breafast ... then several on the road ... stopping in Tulsa to hook up with Patterson in his white Merc [aka the Kelvinator] ... then one upon our arrival in Dewey. We should have plenty of time for shots since Baker will be in the lead. Looking forward to it.

its almost here

 

600 miles to home from Torque Fest today, and as much fun as VTF was (a LOT!!!) I'm looking forward to pointing the ol Galaxie southeast for another 200 on Thursday evening. PM me if you want some photos of your ride at the 500, and keep an eye out for the postcard from royboyproductions in your 500 entry bags, a gift from me to 500 of you haha. Wish I was going to be there. I don't have any clothes for 3WLarry. All of mine are made by some tent company. Just wanted to say thanks to all the STRAYKATS for keeping me in their thoughts the past week. What a wonderful bunch of guys. That hot hamberger thing at Murphy's is un real. The salad is tasty and how you keep track of seating on the honor system is great. Have fun and post pictures so I can see what I have missed out on.

Looks like we are going to be blessed with great weather this weekend. Sorry once agian our dates conflicted, still sending up our Ardmore car club the Blue River and other hot rod buddies to the show. Good luck and hope to see you Labor day at the Hot Rod Reunion...Ardmore Dragway.

 

I scored this 56 wagon over the wk end. Will do some tuning on it friday night and head out early sat am.

 

Congrats on getting your ride ready for the show. It looks like it could have some attitude.
We won't have to wonder if that is your car or not... LOL! Very kool!!

Every year when I see your post I get excited about driving down until I see your date. Good luck with your event, the weather is looking good for both of us.

Well, even though I sent in my registration the day I got it, I'm not gonna be able to make it. I'm taking my daughter to a spinal cord injury rehabilitation clinic in Nashville, TN.

So, everybody take lots of photos and post them for me!

 

I'm sorry to hear that Duncan, You guys have been in our prayers and hopefully sometime
this summer we will get the chance to talk. We plan on stopping over in Conway July 23.
Don't tell Dave because he will leave town....

Heading for b-scotts on Thurs. Leaving there Friday morning and meeting up with Hobo Ed for the trip to Dewey. Weather is sounding good enough to bring the roadster too, so thats the plan. Can't wait.

 

Can't wait to get there. Got to put some seatbelts in back for my son but other than that she is ready to go! No trailer this year! Hopefully got all the issues worked out! Just one thing left and that is to pack the Model Cars for the Model Contest! Is it Friday Yet!

 

Like two tall said: There is always room for your car, it is one of the baddest gassers around.
The city has opened up more room for us so we have room to accommodate more cars. We
will have room for 600 to 650.

Your going to look good in the roadster.

Your going to be running with a kool bunch of guys, wish I could meet up with ya. I
guess
that would knock down the kool meter. This weekend ill be great roadster weather, I'm
glad Jack is bringing his, may have to steal it, I mean borrow.

I'm excited about the model car contest, got the trophies done last night. Hopefully the
guys will dig the hacked up gas cans....LOL!
