History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

I hate to bust in here with commentary,but look at the picture in post 26689.
Vance Hunt,,,,the short guy next to the cage is Sonny Rossi.
Sonny & his wife Dixie were 'little people" from Texas.
They used to come to Lions in the mid 60s,,Sonny had a little rear engine Dragster that had an odd engine in it,and it seemed like they were always there.
They had a daughter that was of 'normal' proportions & sometimes my mom would have to yell at me to stop staring.
My wife & I ran into Sonny & Dixie about 10-15 yrs ago at the CHRR.We talked for quite some time about things.
Their daughter is still alive & well.Sonny is/was a tinkerer & he snail mailed me a TON of little tricks/tid bits/helpful hints/pattern pages etc,& I still have all of it.I still carry a laminated buisiness card of Sonnys that has bolt circle dimensions on it.I think I'll give him a call.
I think someone on this board/thread had posted something regrading the whereabouts of Sonny not too long ago.

BTW/FYI,,I hope I didnt offend anyone about the 'little people/normal" deal.
Once I grew up a little, I realized they were just as 'normal' as anyone(whatever that is).
