    Wonder where this was taken and why they spelled Gasoline differently. A google search found this definition .....

    Noun 1. gasolene - a volatile flammable mixture of hydrocarbons (hexane and heptane and octane etc.) derived from petroleum; used mainly as a fuel in internal-combustion engines.

    Notice that there are only three numbers on the pump to record the price? A fill-up with Premium Gasolene in this Buick was $5.00 and change.

    I've also noticed that unusual spelling for gasoline on some of the old cans I have...

    My guess on these is about 1955. I am on the deer and I am 63 now.

    $ 23 cents a gallon????? Plus they did everything except overhaul your car.
    Water, battery, tires, windshield, etc. etc. Those were the good old days!
    Looking back at the past is pretty refreshing.
