    WHERE did you get this batch of pictures? Do you go back in time, shoot 'em, then transport back to the present? Fantastic !

    Thanks Muttley for all the great shots of Texas racing.

    I grew during this era, my Willys was built and raced during this era.

    There were some "heavy hitters" from Texas during this time.

    Something about me knew that it was a special time, but also I knew it wouldn't last.

    It was and it didn't last, but damn was it a great time to be alive!

    The competition dragster class was so cool. The cars had character, part altered, part rail. This was Frank Smith wasnt it? His brother Charlie Smith was 65 NHRA world champ, while Frank earned the tile in 1966.
