So I picked up this weet 331 caddy with an edmunds dual quad intake. That is mostly why I even got the motor was the parts on it. I am curious, what company made aftermarket valve covers? These are chromed, but am curious what else is out there for this motor? Any other aftermarket pieces? Here are some pix of my treasure. Going into my 42 hudson.

Awesome! I was really into the early Cads for a while. They made all sorts of speed equipment for them. These engine along with Oldsmobiles were the first OHV V8's introduced in 1949.Awesome engines! Beefy and tough and make tons of nice torque

For valve covers, I've seen Pribble, Hildebrandt, Offenhauser, Edelbrock, Edmunds and Weiand. The Offy covers are being repopped and are reasonable. The others are very spendy when you find them.

Tons of other aftermarket speed parts for these engines, just rare and expensive. Lots of intakes in every flavor, distributors and magnetos, even some finned valley covers and timing covers.

Here's a good thread with Cadillac speed parts...

Charlie Price (www.vintagespeed.com) sells new castings of the 2x2 Offenhauser intake for $350. He will drill the for either 3 or 4 bolt carbs.
