Hey guys.... do any of you have under hood pics of a '64 with the inside headlights taken out and the hose running to the air bonnet.Im gettin ready to put a new core support in and the front apron panel on the driver side is directly behind the inner headlight. I was wondering if they cut the apron panel out just enough for the hose or if they made it look like the passenger side where the battery is .I dont want it to look butchered unless thats the way they did it .lol..Thanks Jim

Crites sells a inner fender boxed section that you weld in, Looks a Lot like the Battery side with the shelf for the battery. Its in the Thunderbolt section. Looks like it would work for the comet. Wish I would of seen this part before I did mine it wouldve saved time.

Regarding the T-Bolt air tube box. I bought one from Crites and installed it in my Comet--not fun. The contours are a lot different, it was a difficult task with a lot of cutting, hammering, muttering, etc., and modifications. Syl

Ditto on the Crites air tube box. A little tricky but it works.

I concure. That is the down hill portion of the Omega...That Fairlane looks a little hard under the brakes even though his line looks good for the pinch at the bottom. Those Steeda and Saleens were all over me like a cheap suit in the turns.

Hopefully I'll see Todd racing the Comet in a couple weeks. I'll be racing with the AFX'ers at the upcoming PSCA race at Fontana. I had to pull the front of the Rockets water pump down to try and fixed the compromised gaskets that Edelbrock was kind enough to install. I'm hoping getting asked to back out of the waterbox will now be a thing of the past!! Hopefully, I'll go more than one round against these guys!

Finally getting my chance to test this Tuesday and then run on Sat.Car is finally put back together. So far total weight loss 195 lbs. Not bad for a start. going to try and lose another 100 pounds next winter. Finshed up the rear lexan window with custom retainers by the "Sniper" Steve. Also went back to the original woodgrain look for originality. Turned out better than I thought it would. heres some pics.

Just gathering parts when I can find them on the Comets right now. I need to finish the Fairlane first. You are right, no other place on the web even comes close to the HAMB!

I just cannot believe it. I caved in, and am bringing home yet another Blue Oval car this Saturday that I picked up last night. For the first time since I can recall, I do not own one GM 'fun car'. Roy, you have been a terrible influence on me......:)

While not a Comet, its a creampuff nonetheless,.....:D

I'll post up when it comes home.
