My cat died this morning. I found her in my Shoebox project barely breathing and not moving. Her name is CatZZilla and I miss her terribly. She was just getting old and tired. I'm glad she found her way into my car so I could make her comfortable.

    Sorry to hear that man.

Its surprising how much of an impact pets can make in ones life, and how much character they have. My dog has more heart, soul, and all around character then 80 percent of my human friends.

Only pet lovers can understand how you feel. In the past couple of years we have had to have 3 of ours put down due to old age (about 16 yrs old each) and it really, really hurt. Not ashamed to say I cried like a baby each time. It took a long time before I could even look at any pictures of them. :(

You can give yourself some consolation by knowing you gave her a good, loving home for all those years. So many animals don't get that chance at life. Some may think we are dumb for feeling this way, but true pet lovers will understand 100%.

    Sorry for your loss.

    Don

I too am sorry to hear that. My cats name was Marky Ramone and he came in the house sicka couple months ago and died within a few days.

Now a story about Markys death.

I work at a college, and went back to work on a monday after Marky died and this kid there who has cats asked how my weekend was. I told him my cat died and this ***HOLE thats is in our dept said out loud..."GOOD".

I cant break his jaw as I would be fired so i just called him a fkin ***hole and then he said "just kill em all"

Well I didnt complain to super about it but somebody else did. The ***hole was given a week off without pay and NOW works midnite to 8am by himself.

    hahahahaha

I understand how you feel. My kitty cat is the love of my life besides my girlfriend. She turned up next to the neighbors shed and was only a few days old. barely had her eyes open. We bought a kitty bottle and some formula.. we diddnt think she would make it through the night. but she got stronger and fatter every day. She had
a hell of an eye infection.. cost over 400 dollars to fix. The vet said he would understand if we'd rather not do the surgery on a stray. But it was way too late I already was attatched.
Ive had her about 9 months or so I guess.. wouldnt trade her for the world.

Sorry to hear of your loss. We have fur kids too and they are very special to us. Only animal people understand the loss, remember the good times you shared.

This is the one that found us 3 years ago and has been the greatest buddy ever since.

The hardest thing I ever have had to do was put down my Sammy a couple of years ago at 18 years old... Easily the coolest cat ever built ( I'm sure yours was in that same catagory!). It never gets easier missing them, but if you think of them every once in a while you realize just how much fun, humor and genuine love they have brought to your life, you can't help but smile.

sorry for your loss and i agree that the best cats are the ones who need help the most in their lifetime. Sounds like she lived a nice long , happy life right until the end because of you and she's greatful for that. Now you can "rescue" another and give it a happy life. Sometimes i wonder if we rescue them, or they rescue us? either way...my condolences to you :(

You have my sympathy, I had to put down Bob, my 16 year old Tabby last month. Still have two dogs and a cat to keep me company.
