I just purchased this 1932 Ford five window coupe which seems like a find of a lifetime. It was purchased new in Glendale, CA by the grandmother for $490, passed on to the father decades ago, and finally onto the granddaughter when he passed away. It is a 41,000 mile, 100% bone stock and 100% rust free car. It was used in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and I have the letters from when it was accepted for use. I believe the only changes from when it was new are the Kelsey Hayes wheels. We are still looking for the original wheels. Except for one re-paint in the 70s, I don't think it has been touched. Pretty cool to see one that hasn't been hot rodded although I personally like modified ones too. I could never bring myself to cut this up as I think it should definitely be preserved in the state that it is in. I don't even want to wash it!

  9. A chop, and a drop(in the front), some solids, and warm the flatty up a little. Then it will be perfect.

Nice, That dust isn't all that old, I'd wash it off but other than that I think that one needs to be preserved as is. I don't give a rippy doo dah about keeping it stock as is to preserve the cash $$$$ value, screw that but keeping one like that completely as is is important for preserving history especially when you know the whole history of it.

People are welcome to post whatever they want. I also have chopped cars as well as a 32 roadster hot rod with a 47 flathead that was built in the 50s. I like all of them but anybody who thinks this one should be cut up is just being ridiculous. Thanks for all the comments.

Not every great old car has to be Hot Rodded. Some need to be preserved to show later generations what they actually looked like new. I applaud you for leaving that one alone, you are now a guardian of a piece of history. Beautiful car, enjoy it.

  25. It's a beauty and like the 32 in my avatar i wouldn't change it if it's this nice.:)
Keep it, drive it and enjoy it.

Very cool find. I also love to here the personal histories of the families that have owned them, it's pretty rare that we ever know where these cars were early in their lives.
