Leave it stock or rod it? Touchy question. In my opinion, value only matters when you go to sell it. If you rod it up in a tasteful manner with vintage parts, you could potentially increase the value to someone looking for a tastefully rodded original. It's not a unicorn or anything like that, it's an early Ford. A very well preserved early Ford, It's a fairly common vehicle in a fairly uncommon state.
I can see preserving a piece of history for people to enjoy, but it's also now your car. I don't really know how to put this without stepping on toes, but you don't owe it to anyone but yourself to keep it as is. If that's what you want to do, then it's the right decision. If you feel like you need to keep it preserved out of some duty to the hobby and all the people in it, I'd disagree, being the car is what it is. It's a great find and an uncommon find for the condition, either way. Just remember to make it YOUR car, no matter what you decide.

That sir is a honey of a car.
I'd wash it , polish it and drive it.
Not one to rod just pep up the engine a little maybe .
    Great find and congratulations

I'd turn that one into a really nice full fendered hotrod driver.

Sell the frame and running gear to a restorer and mount it all as it is onto a new frame with all the modern running gear.

Leave the body and everything else as it is. Would be real nice.

Ha ha ha, CLASSIC! That actually made me laugh out loud!

  7. Although you car is a little "new" you might find it interesting to cruise the national MARC Model A Ford meet that is being held June 27 to July 1 in San Diego (http://www.2011marcmeet.com/index.html). The Model A guys always like to see where those Model B engines came from.

Yes, it is a Model B. Can't have everything I guess. I'm still not complaining! Thanks for all the nice comments.

No shame in that, but they shoulda knocked $20K off the price for ya... LOL.

  12. The car looks early (first 4000 or so) from the provision to mount the vacuum operated clutch on the side of the block. "XX" out the last couple of digits and tell us what the serial numbr is (it should be on the top of the flywheel housing and again on the top of the left frame rail near the cowl). My guess is that the number should be less than *AB5004XXX*.

Incredible find! Wow! Seems *almost* too
good to be true! That got me thinking and
    wondering....and worrying.:)eek:) Are you sure
it's the "real deal"?? If there's any doubt,
just to be sure, you might want to check
out the post I made back in 2009 on the
    HAMB "Rarest Duece" thread.;):D LOL!

Mart, I don't doubt you but I read that entire thread with GREAT interest (I'm a HUGE B400 nut) and saw only your post regarding these Mongeuces. I Googled the hell out of this to see what else I could find (nothing) then went back to see if you posted on April 1st. You didn't.

Tell us about these offensive creations! And although I'm not into drugs, mafia or the underworld I may just have to venture that direction for one of these abortions, LOL!

  16. Just my opinion but I think the difference is more like $5K.

Now I see the reason 32 Fords were chopped....doesnt compare to a stock 33/34 Ford!! My opinion! Stock Model A's look way better....

Thank you for choosing to preserve the history of this car and not cutting it. Congratulations and I'm glad you got it.

Pull the body. Trash the frame. Get a whole new tube chassis, disc brakes, air conditioning, nice leather interior, modern gauges, cool billet wheels, 30,000 dollar paint job (preferably some ugly pastel color), and you could have a place on the NSRA board of directors. hahaha ! Or you could chop it and be like everyone else! Again sarcasm! Man that is one sweet car! DO NOT TOUCH IT!
