Hey mann good links--But the #4 GMC--1506 cab was used til 48/49 --past the start of the advanced design model--and the LOOOOOOng nose GMC a model semi tractor had that two windshield cab til 1950--a "west Coast" truck. Some one find me an A model in some field in Ca or oregon!

Here you go Pex. I'm not sure how close the cab is to a 38-40 COE, I had to freehand it, but I think its fairly close.

Thanks, I enjoyed the challenge! This truck will look pretty cool and I'm looking forward to the build thread. Thanks to Johnny Jalopy for coming up with the original concept.

I've read through the thread and it's given me an ich to build one. I'm thinking of doing a coe project and need some of your help. I sold my 05 excursion and miss it now. I was thinking of making a "Coersion " 8 ) ( btw I call dibs on that name for it ) Basically an 8 passenger, 4 or maybe 6 door with internal rear space. I would love to use a late model diesel f250 because there are so many on coparts to choose from. Something with great road handling and with a coe nose.
What do you guys think? any ideas or directions for those that have done these conversions?

So here are a couple of my newest toys, have a couple projects ahead of them so these are in the waiting, Actually the 53 is drivable the way it is, just needs some door glass, and a few things. I'm hoping I'll be able to have it at Bonneville this year (at least one day if I can make it out again). I figured the bed of that beast will make a great platform to check out the action from!

Also a few pictures from the prior owner, dont know any history of them but cool so figured I would post them anyway.

    Cheers

Looks like he has a good start on it, what drivetrain is in it? Will it be a ramp truck?

Just my opinion, but I think the top is too flat. It looks like it's lost its crown... no pun intended.

I think it is a big block Chev, not a ramp truck. He already did one of those. I will see if I can find a pic.

Super cool -- could loose square edge on side panels above running boards the rest of truck is rounded so might flow better and the visor makes the roof flat but love it anyway

Loose the square shoulders on the running boards.
Figure out why the top is so flat & put some crown back in it.
The visor is mounted too high. Drop it 3"-5" at the mounting points.

    Cool truck though.

Funny you mention that. It literally makes me SICK that someone would turn a garage into living quarters... unless they built a 100' x 100' shop in the back yard!

impressive work. i stopped and took pictures of that truck in auguest of 2005, left a business card on the windshield of the truck asking if the truck was forsale. the owner sent a post card with a note stating he didnt have a telephone and a price. glad to you saved it.
