<<<<<<<< Mine. (63.5 w/390, pretty much stock) Also, Dad has a 63 Galaxie Ragtop in white with a 289 2 barrel. Putting a four barrel manifold with the 480 CFM Autolite on it soon. Pictures later...
The teal Gal belongs to a good friend of mine, I've done a buncha work on the car with him. The white Gal in the second pic is mine, white with ivy gold interior, 390 auto. I ran it in stock eliminator trim in the early 90's for a bit, then just bracket raced it. It's a survivor and still sees track time one or two times a year.
I've got a white 1-0wner '63-1/2 Fastback. Just scored new bumpers, grille, and all the trim. ALL the trim, every piece, clip, and screw. Also a new windshield, and all the side and back windows. Busy with putting my shop up now, but have everything for my new 406. Too bad you missed that one, Muttley. My son has a silver '65 that is just as clean...
I had a chance to buy it at Turlock and blew it off. About a week later I saw it on Craigslist and call the owner. We talked fora while and I was planning to go down to look at it but it never happend. I moved on to something else but I couldnt stop thinking about the Galaxie. I posted a wanted ad on Craigslist and within an hour the former owner and a friend of his both contacted me to say the car had been sold to someone in Hanford. The part that really sucks.............the former owner is a HAMBer and I didnt even know. I posted a BOLO Alert for all the Hanford area guys and a couple of weeks later got a PM saying he had found the car but it wasnt for sale. As far as I know the car is still is down in Hanford. That was one of the most beautiful, well preserved old cars you will ever see with all the good stuff...........buckets, console & mint interior. That car was a steal.
Trust me i know. i literally look for it about once a week. there is a super clean 65 on sacramento cl right now for a good price. i keep looking at it thinking it would look good on supremes. but to me that car was a perfect driver. and i love the color.
Quite a few stunning cars on this little thread, but this one does it for me, although i would put it on bags/lifts, i would prolly leave the rest stock, even the wheel, i would only swap tires w/ a set of 520 or similar lookin pinner. fantastic car. i hope i'll own one someday. Muttley and Glendale, that 65 is beautiful, i understand your suffering.
