Don't know anything about them but got a good deal on it and I'm a ****er for an old truck. I'm working towards a certain group of cars and an old truck is needed. It has the flat head 6 in it and it's pretty complete. I got alot of extra parts fenders, hoods and such so most any of the rusted parts I can swap out with the extra parts. Any info you guys can school me on with this truck that would be great.
    Anyway here it is

    Nice looking Dodge!

But I'm a ****er for the old Dodge trucks. If you haven't already checked out the Pilothouse forum you should definitely post up over there.

The bumper with the 3 guards is kinda rare too. Not that it makes it worth anything, but they aren't easy to find. And the spare parts will be helpful. There really isn't anything in the way of repro sheetmetal for the Dodges except for the beds, so if you need anything already having spares will speed things up.

What are your plans for the truck?

My plans depend greatly on whether I can get either of the engines I have running. If so then I'll do a mechanical restoration of it and put the best parts I have available on it to complete the body side of the restoration and just have a cool old stock truck. If I get into drivetrain problems then I'll probably do a V-8 swap and a little more hot rod on the resto.

Dodges never were much in the looks department after the early-mid-30s but they kept on selling and running and hauling so now YOU can join the Dependable Dodge Parade! Enjoy.

  6. congrats. they are great trucks and after a bit of "modification" I dont find them ugly at all. :D I own a 53.

Nice old truck, I have always thought the front end was a bit ugly but I have seen a bunch of real nice one on here.

  8. Enjoy the project. v8 swaps are quite a lot of work..see my link below. It's been more work than i thought it would be.

Nice to have all the extra parts.

Thanks for the link I just read through the entire thread. Very cool truck.

It's funny, I've always been a fan of the oddballs in the car world and I like to hear the opinions of the dislike for this bodystyle. I think it's cool as hell.:D
