that's why I did the quicky version! I personally don't think a zephyr should be cut up like that. they can be one of the best looking customs out there but the amount of curves make them probably one of the most challenging to get right.

not hating on the V-dub just don't think a LINCOLN should ever have the proportions of one!

Here is my version.. I used the perfect Photoshop of James D as a base and added slightly more period correct white wall tires and single bar flippers. I raised it a little overall and a bit more in the front. I think it needs a bit more of a raise to be totally realistic. But perhaps if you run smaller diameter rear tires you could get away with this. I added 1937-39 Chevy or Buick headlights, and some bumpers. I used 1940 Lincoln units, but there are more options that will work, like 1940 Mercury... And I repainted the red flames to almost body color... I assume you are not going for an all new paint job.

    Rik and James,,,,thanks a TON!!!
I really love the The bumpers and mirrors and tires and head lights! I am suprised the roof was left alone and it looks good. I'll bet Riksters version with the roof laid forward in the back would really look great.
You guys are great! Thanks for keeping with this for me.
    I do appreciate it!

    Hey Guys,

Any ideas for this thing? Thanks! Want to stay with 60's style. Wondering about scalops or panels? Bellflowers? Astros? Some look that would be at 60's car craft show, etc. Thanks for any ideas.

Well since you "asked" for it.
Here is my take on the forward laid roof.... but instead of laying it forward at the top - thus creating a smaller cockpit - I moved the bottom of the top backwards a coupe of inches and then laid the top forward. This gives much better proportions plus it creates more space inside.
And I also made the headlights a bit longer. Cadillac or LaSalle units now.

  10. Need some help with the wheel base on this one.

So I've been moving this thing around trying to get an idea of where I think it looks best. to give you a scale its at 109" right now 26" front tire 30 " rear tire. I am so torn on the extended front end , like the one in my avatar, or a more traditional set up. I can easily set WB at about 105 but the radiator will be in front of cross member and forward of the tire center line. Just as easy set it at 200" or any where in between. Also very seriously contemplating the Radir 12 spokes. Those are 18" rim and about 28+ tire for scale. Might have to add a radiator to get the proportions . Motor can come down 1-1/2" if that helps. color would be the on the Oldsmobile.

Hi guys, I'm getting forward with my Dodge's rear. In a few days I will get my plasma cut bumper mounts (bumper at last!) and the next step will be the cruiser skirts. I'm asking for your views: Is my plan OK or should the skirt be somehow different to be as good as it could be? I'm also considering new color after the skirts, because seafoam may be just tooo sweeet in the long run. Brainstorming suggestions for the color would also be more than welcome.
    Thanks!

Oh My God! That is unbelievablly Kool Looking!!!!!
Do ya think spot lights would fit the build style?
I am going to have to sell some more stuff so I can afford to make all these changes because This is so gonna happen!!
It looks to good to not do it. I would never be able to look at the car another way.
    Thanks again!!

    Thanks

Here is one with some Spotlights on them. Be sure the get the Appleton S112 copies made by Kustom Kraft. All others will look strange on this car. Better would be to have a set of real Appletons, but those will require even more stuff to sell.

Hi guys, it has been suggested to try to enlist your help. I have a car hauler project that I envisioned an enclosed rear section, much like a teardrop, but using the rear fenders that are on it now? I seem to be photoshop challenged, and would appreciate any help that you all can give.

Sorry, can't do that. I'm sure someone else could, but it just looked too much like every other freakin' truck out there.

SOooooo, I decided to give you something different. Hey, if you don't like it, no worries, it was free!:p

(I have a nicely done photoshop of your truck for you when you get around to posting your intro :))

Can anyone put blood red on this? From the body line up, with matching steel wheels and wide white walls? thanks

It's up for your viewing pleasure, Thanks again for your help!

I thought this thread was designed to help members see their vehicle a different way with the help of another member's photoshop skills, I was merely trying to use it. I used my please and thank you, my mother would be happy with that level of respect, you apparently are not.

Sinister very politely asked you to post your intro, nothing rude about that, it's part of the rules of the site. I attempted to add some levity to my post along with letting you know I took your request seriously and would honor it. No one in any way said anything to you that could be construed as less than respectful.

As for your request, I already did the photoshop, so here you go: I didn't do it the way you asked because, quite frankly, when I did it looked like ass, so I took it upon myself to offer you an alternate view.
