i've been trying to upload that feature on "psycho" , as well as the fiat bodied car that preceeded it , but they just won't "go" . don't know what the problem is yet , but i'll keep trying .

does anyone remember that mustang exhibition car - the one with that rocket thingie made by turbonique [ sp?] attached to the rear axle ? the company used to advertise this product - tho i can't imagine where there would've been any market for it . the reason i'm asking is i'm thinking that car was also called "orion " .

Not a mustang... but I saw a vintage Cougar flip top in Buffalo with one of them
V-2 rocket things attached to the rear....looked like a nice one way ride.

How about right clicking your mouse, saving them, then enlarge them in Picasa or something?

You are thinking of the PEGASUS mustang of Rauth & Venetti. more can be learned here http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/chassis/0512_hrdp_turbonique_drag_axle/photo_01.html

i knew i'd seen something about this car before , but it took me a while to find it . it's shown 3 or 4 times on an old jackson bros. tape . it was running at half moon bay around 1968 . unfortunately , jackson doesn't say anymore about it other than calling it the orion mustang funny car .
maybe it was just a local car , but i'd still like to know who drove it and what engine it used .

    thanx , analog -
i was thinking it prob. had a chrysler engine in it because when i enlarge the pic , it looks like it says "torqueflite by" right above the large "LM" on the front fender . i was also thinking it says "peppy bros." on the door .
anyway , it's nice to know they stuck with dearborn power .

    I was thinking the same thing.It definitley says torqueflight by LM,so I thought Hemi also.Can you put a torqueflite behind a 427 Ford?Draglist also stated the trans was a 3-speed manual.Is there a 3-speed manual torqueflight?

    Maybe it's a Clutch-flite?

FWIW, the Torqueflite in my road runner is a 3-speed manual. No clutch pedal though.
