does anyone know what caps or baby moons will fit wheel vintiques 64 series? the Wheel vintiques hubcaps made for these wheels do not fit! I've tried and they will not go on, and I do not want to start a WV bash thread, that point has been made. Anyone with these wheels have any luck? thanks
Try "Early Wheel" company. I got mine thru them and they worked great. http://www.earlywheel.com/hubcaps.html
Do your wheels take the original Ford cap or a smaller mount? If it is the smaller mount cap like the chrome reverse smoothies (3 bumps on the inner center of the rim to hold the cap verses 4), the available caps can vary as to fit. Some too loose, some too tight. What I have done is cut a slot in the cap (slot the ring the snaps over the bumps) in relation to the bumps on the rim (my rims have 3 bumps). You can then bend the mounting ring part of the cap, on one side of the slot, to make it fit looser or tighter. Hope this makes sense w/o a picture.
mine are the kind with the tabs/mounting surface on the outside. It is supposed to be like 10-1/8 but it is not, and when I tried the same make caps they were almost impossible to get on, I even tried mr gasket original style babay moons off of ebay and they did not work

Groucho, I called them, or actually emailed them. I tried so hard to get the caps on, I even posted a thread here to see if anyone esle had problems. So I emailed WV and did get someone who told me that they would make it right for me, and then... nothing. When I thought I had them on I backed out of my driveway and three caps fell off...the other fell of on my street and then to a creek next to the street and I had to chase it down.. I also dented one trying to get it on cause I had to use so much force. I still have the caps in my garage. Let me know how you make out, maybe I am stupid or something
Call back and ask for Joe. Tell him you're a buddy of mine from the HAMB. He called yesterday just to say hello and that he might be in my area this weekend for a visit. He's good people
