I'm having issues getting my pics to upload... but I had a blast. I skipped out on the group photo because I am not a big fan of getting my picture taken normally.

It was great getting to chat with those of you that I DID meet though, and spend my Saturday drooling in jealousy over your cars... ha

There was some interesting stuff there. Fewer cars than when I last went either last year or the year before.

$10.00 each to get in, but I got to see the restored Logghe Chassis dragster that was at one time driven by ex co-worker Chuck Kurzawa. And, I met and spoke with well known metal worker and racer Al Burgler.

It was a great show. Overall it had the vibe that is "Billetproof" and i was pretty impressed with several cars there. Spent quality time with friends Fri nite and Sat, but one of the biggest thrills for me was the smell and thunder of nitromethane. I felt 20yrs younger just standing there feeling the ground shake and my eyes burn. I haven't smelled "the Jolly Roger's Breath" in a long time. Awesome. Thanks to all for great show and thanks for the pics.

Yeah, he's an all right guy.....ate an awful lot of cookies though.:D

I've got a few photos of the car but no details. I think he took Best Custom, Alan can verify that. Another wonderful car in attendance.

The quaily of the cars this year was outstanding.

Thank you much for this thread had hoped to attend only about 80 miles away. but was sure I couldn't take the wallking having some hip and back issues currently. My wife said she'd push me in wheelchair but I passed on that. Hope next year I can be there and meet some of the folks whose posts I follow. Again I'm sure there are many others who appreciate this!

  25. Hey, you were just here...like 12 years ago. Why rush it? ;)....just kidding.

    Irresistable.

One of the very coolest things about the location of Billetproof is there is an asphalt path that goes all around the park as you could probably tell from the photos. LOTS of the cars are along this path. Also, the hapicapped parking area was right up front by the main entrance. Your wife would have had an easy time pushing you. Next time for sure.

Thanks for the pics Aaron, looks like you guys had a great time! Nice to see you take the whole fan-damily to the show!

It sucks that Billetproof Detroit is the same weekend as the Showdown :(

    Coming to Brian's this weekend?

No, I'm not going to Brian's :( thought we were, then some backed out so I made other plans then others decided they wanted to go, but at that point it was too late to change plans.
Trust me the way the weather looks where I'm headed I'd much rather be in Dayton!

Yes it does suck they are the same weekend, as I REALLY want to go to both. Someday I'll have to skip Billet and go to the showdown anyway.
