Gives me chills thinking about this tragedy...but makes me proud to be an AMERICAN knowing you all have real concerns about your fellow American street rodder. God bless him and his family.
Just got word from my buddy John, who used to go by Bigdaddy on here. It was A friend of his Eric Doran. RIP.
This is going to make me get off the dime and put those long awaited LEDs on my wagon. I think I'll order the one's that automatically flash when you apply the brakes. I'll be thinking of our brother Eric Doran when I put them in. RIP, brother.
Saw the news first thing this morning. not a good way to start the day when a fellow hot rodder gets killed. RIP
Godspeed........if the above name is correct. It sucks that the showed that on TV......I have a very good friend that lives in the San Fran area and does camera shots for the helicopter and she tells me stories about stuff that she see's and they have to "pan out' from the shot. For the person that edited the shot themselves.........Thanks. Chris Nelson Kansas
RIP and prayers for the driver, his family, and friends. Say what you will about them not being traditional, but I feel much safer in my coupe since I put in a third brake light, and LED tail lights! Not that they may have helped in this sad situation.
very sad, my condolences to friends and family. Its always sad when someone dies in car crash but hits closer to home when its a fellow hot rodder. To all his friends on here sorry to hear of loss of a friend and fellow rodder.
Very sorry to hear this news. Nothing worse than someone being hurt or worse when just enjoying their hobby. The driving public as a whole is just horrible. I just got back from the SF bay area last nite in my F250 daily driver and shocked at how bad people are. From 16 year old chicks on cel phones to middle aged guys trying to shave that last couple seconds off their daily drive by cutting me off, it's an absolute jungle. With the Memorial Day weekend here, please be extra careful in your hot rod. Always look in your mirror when making a stop, just like you would on a bike.
Very sad to hear that something supposed to be enjoyable resulted so badly. Bad to see that happen to an innocent victim.
Very sad, condolences to all family and friends involved. At least he was doing what he loved, I hope that's how i go out, doing something I love.
Very, very sorry to hear of this. Prayers for family, friends and loved ones. It gets more and more dangerous every year out there with people driving their cars "stab & steer" style with a cell phone in one hand and a frantic need to get somewhere quickly at all costs. I honestly don't think most drivers have any clue how close they come to death every day...
