I am looking at buying this 1950 Plymouth. I am a fabricator so metal work is my cup of tea, just trying to figure out if this car is worth it. He only wants $600, has all the trim and grill, just no head for the original straight 6, no worries, I'd slap a 350 in it anyways..... or a 318..... or a 360....

No major rust, very (I mean very) small hole in the floor, very easy fix.

Also, does anyone know what model Plymouth this is? I've never dealt with a Plymouth before.

    go for it,

  3. Seems like a no brainer to me...

It is a '50 plymouth, not a Ford or Chevy, but you can't get much of anything for 6 bones, especially with what appears to be an above average chop.

Cranbrook?...looks like a good start to me at a fair price..I'm not one to talk to though, I found a 62 Studebaker GT Hawk 289 four-speed and a 48 Nash bathtub this weekend $1500 for both..I need those cars (badly) like I need a sore thumb (it will heal)..that money REALLY needs to be spent elsewhere (screw it I want them)...

  10. did they have the back glass and windshield (2 piece)for it the rest is flat i think:rolleyes:

He "thinks" he has the glass..... so probably not.

  12. that would be an easy car as far rubber goes. you can buy the stock stuff and trim it to fit. if you pass on it i would be very intersted!

Got any paperwork on the car? If so you can"t go wrong on that deal especially being able to do the metal work yourself.

It appears to be a '50 Club Sedan......all the glass is flat except the rear window, which appears to be stock dimension. Bargain deal, especially if you get a good title with it.

Dislike those cars for the most part, hard to get them to look right in my opinion. But, if you are a fabricator-go for it. The chop doesn't look to badly boogered up. For the price you probably can't go wrong.

if you can sell it for more than you paid for it, that's says "buy". paying someone to do that chop would cost you more than $600. see if he'll throw in the other car too. ;) oh,,, and go with the 360ci.....

Good looking chop on that car. If it has paper work, seems super cheap if you ask me.

I don't know what that battle is like in California. Oregon wouldn't scare me, but I don't know about Cali.

It's not too bad, as long as the car has it's numbers. If the car has no numbers, then it's a pain in the ass.
