For those of you that have been before (and those that have heard about the layout) this year is going to be Different! The swap will be where the Vendors used to be - and some of the Roadster area, and the Vendors will be in and around Building 4 where the AMBR cars are during GNRS. The Roadsters will be around the building area. The "Preferred" parking for the pre 75 cars will be in the old swap meet area. At least that's the way the LA Roadster guy explained it to me.
I always go to San Dimas and visit the Early Ford store. If you are a Ford guy ... this place is like going back to a old store from the 40/50's Go here http://www.earlyfordstore.com/store_pictures.php
Does this mean that we will have that covered shade for the swap meet? if so that would be really cool.
I hope they don't try to fix something that aint broke. I can't imagine trying to squeeze all of the swap spaces in the commercial area...
Look for "Camp HAMB" on the north side, next to the restrooms. That's where I usually set up on Saturday. Gonna have a flag made this year. I usually save about 16-20 spaces for HAMBers. But if you want to get there early,we can all pull in together and park next to each other. For the last two years,Bob Barnes and Jack Stewart,of LA Roadsters, has let me set up a Traditional Area on Sunday. There was about 50 cars in there last year.
AHH, Randy tou know how to make em' salavitate don't ya'???? Have fun on your "Deuce run" this weekend!!------Don
Hey Bob!----Is my HAMB alliance still pinned on the banner from last year?????----Tell Bob Barnes & Jack Stewart hi from me.------Don
We will be there in the swap area with a bunch of "spare parts" and some hard to find goodies. We will also have the ACME booth set-up with some close-out shirt designs (gotta make room for some cool new stuff). Come by and see us - just look for the van.
Can't wait! I also heard that the setup will be different, as described by hotroddon. We'll see . . .
Flyin in from overseas on wednesday and hoppin in the coupe on friday to start making the journey out from south Texas.
This event has been on my "Bucket List" for well over 30 years now, maybe in 2012. PLEASE take lots of photos and post them for us want to be there guys.
unfortunately, the cover and everything was torn down also. The only shade will be in the trees near the train set up and that will go VERY quick. I think this will be my bazillianth year in a row to be there. next year hope to have the roadster painted and upholstered so I can get another mug!
I will be there with my buddy Chris from New Zealand, his first year. I am taking my Willys so we can cruise it over to the So Cal open house. See ya there!
The El Paso gang will be there! Hanging out at the Brizio booth, like always! Stop by and say " Howdy"!!
Hey Dale, Have a safe trip and I'll see you there. Stop by I'll be selling space on the roadster for the new run at 49 states, Dave
I'm in, bob you setting up the local train from yorba linda(?) that I missed last year.....I'll get ice earlier this time .
I'd love to go again but it's a little too far from the Shenandoah Valley. My garage is awfully full of ol' hot rods so I'll have to stay put.
As usual , we will be bar-b-queing saterday afternoon, there is the party at Bobby Waldon's shop on friday, and that great mexican seafood place by the Kenedy bro's shop, can't wait.
