Build a tank from scratch. The bike for my avatar started life as a 79 KZ400. Saved the motor and wheels. Threw everything else away and started from scratch. Build what you like and forget everyone else.

I've actually got a little honda dirtbike tank that I've already pie cut and frisco'd that really flows well with the bike. It's pretty thin metal and I gave up on it a while back, but I think I'm gonna try to get it cleaned up and sealed up and run it!

So I figured I owe you guys an actual update on the fleetline build...

We are closing on a house next week! So it's gonna be a little while before I can get much done, but I'm excited to say that I will have my very own 2 car garage to work out of now!

I just got my garage a little over a year ago. A LOT better than the tent I was working under! Congrats on the new place!

I can't wait! Gonna take a little while to get all settled in and then I gotta take care of some wiring and shelves before I can even do any work. I'm really ready to get back to work on the car!!!

Sadly it looks like I'm not going to have enough space to keep the Fleetline. With motorcycles and tools and a wife that wants a parking space I'm short on room, so I'll have to sell the Chevy. I'm pretty bummed over this, and if I can find a way to keep it then I will. I'll keep you updated...

any way you can blow out that back wall, extend the garage back and add a side garage door to get it in there?? That is horrible dude! I am sorry, hopefully you can find a way!!!!

Ha well the storage closet is cinderblock and brick and doubles as a storm shelter, so it would take quite a bit to take it out haha.

I'm gonna have to have a talk with the wife and find some kind of compromise so I can keep the car. I don't want to see another old car go.

Well I had a talk with the lil lady and her main concern is keeping the garage clean... I'm keeping the car and keeping the garage clean with the car in it. It will be kind of awkward when I need to pull the body back off, but I will devise some type of stand or lift system.

Bottom line: I'M KEEPING MY FLEETLINE!

If you're talking about the '54, that's what I traded for my fleetline... If you're referring to my little tacoma, then yes I'm keeping it.

A few of the same size stackable boxes, a cheap car cover, and 15 minutes dedicated to clean up after every "work" session will go a long way towards giving a clean "look" to your garage.

My garage is detached and I'm the only one using it, so it's easy for me to lay down the tools and walk away.

Happy to hear you're keeping the car!!

I'm fixing to get back to work on the car hard and heavy. But it's nice to have a bike to run around on finally!
