Yeah, old thread but Pat's Deuce is well worth bringing it back up to the top.

I remember seeing a picture of the engine all detailed in TRJ, Pat's caption was "I was chrome deprived as a kid". It still makes me chuckle.

I took this shot of Pat relaxing on his rubber "lounge" chair at the GNRS 2007. As you can see the spray gun has only reached the back edge of the hood at that time. Beautiful car done or in progress.

Really no need to be rude...I've PM'd Ganahl with no response and I didn't want to keep bugging him.

It's a shame he entered the GNRS the same year as Bass and the T.

I had to bump this one back up.If I ever need an inspiration, all I ever need to do is look at anything Pat touches or talks about. If I were his son, I would much rather have this roadster, than a college education. Thanks Pat, for thirty years + of great writing ,and photos.

Thanks very much Rod1, and all the rest of you who have said so many nice things about my roadster and other endeavors. I would point out that Bill not only got an ample college education, plus he gets the roadster. Every time Roy Brizio sees the car, he checks to make sure I'm keeping it nice for Bill. Which I am. Mainly Bill has his mother, Anna, to thank for supporting him through college. And I--and you--have her to thank for supporting me for the last several years to be able to write the articles and books that I have. This "job" I have doesn't exactly pay the rent and buy the groceries. As for answering PM's, I try to when I can, and I certainly hope I haven't been rude to anyone (lately).

    Thanks very much, Pat Ganahl

Sidney Allen has your old dragster in his collection and it too is very well done. Sidney also has one of Tony Nancy Jr's roadsters which is sitting next to yours.....Both are cool pieces of history!!!

I searched, I really did. But I cannot find the pics of Ganahl's roadster with the Halibrands. I'm pretty positive I saw them on here somewhere.

Purple with those polished mags....dang man, REAL pretty!!

Tasty build, makes ya a little weak in the knees viewing this gorgeous roadster. Love the sweet trim job, the white is so out front. The dash is terrific in every detail, machine turned metal ranks high with me. Thanx for showing Pat's great new beauty, cool car, cool guy. Congrat's on a stunning classic. ~sololobo~
