Yeah, that ford is a pretty mind blowing undertaking.

Well....mind blowing might be a little dramatic. I think it is a great thread and some great repair work.

Thats great ! Glad I could help "encourage" you to tackle this stuff yourself ! The only way to get better is to keep doing it! Buy that next roll of wire if you already have the roll you will be more inclined to use it :D

Haha ya gotta have faith Fitzee :D:D:D The hard top chop was kinda rushed and not of the side glass fits well and it lets too much water in, so I am going to put door tops and a B pillar back in...It will remain drivable while I do this but I have to do it... Chad has a 50 Pontiac parts car that I can get most everything I need from. If I can get everything prepped I might be able to get all the metalwork done in one long weekend, then get some new glass cut.

I just want to rephrase the above comment somewhat cause it didnt come out the way I meant it to, the chop was not a rush job! I was referring to the side windows , Aaron was in a rush to get them done cause he was driving the car to Detroit for the Autorama in the WINTER and the car had no side glass and he didnt want his balls to freeze lol. I knew they were gonna need reworking and it rains here alot ....and I saw another Chevy he chopped that a buddy of his owns with slanted B pillars which I got to see in person this spring and I loved it!... and I know this cars profile will look killer with the slanted pillars , and since I am not a huge fan of hard top chops , so if I am gonna rework them I am gonna rework them to my favorite style, its your fault anyways Aaron you should not have taken me to see Jamie's car!!

Holy cow an entire week of evenings plus some time today while watching the powerblock and I have finally made it to the " current" end of the thread . You have done some absolutely amazing work in this thread Steve . I agree you will have to keep the build book with it as nobody who hasnt read the thread would ever believe what you started with to get here .

I had to liquidate my inventory when I left Ottawa...took a year to sell and give away as much stuff as I could then I still took over 14,000 lbs of stuff for scrap...it still hurts to think about it !

Wow, nice job on the Chevy , the crazy custom was cool, but one of things that was probably hard to figure out where to go with ? And after seeing your Ford endeavor you deserve to take on something easier and super cool at the same time !
Always wanted to check out Nova Scotia . I'm from upstate NY and have a few friends that go there atleast once a year, looks beautiful .

I think he's waiting on that 18 wheeler full of welding wire.

  24. Sure let's see that thing! I'd say new parts are progress. Any pictures of what you are doing to the Chev somewhere on the HAMB?

Its at the post office the pinheads wouldnt deliver it to the house lol ! I live in the country and cant get home in time before they close so a friend is gonna pick it up today or tomorrow, I cant wait ! So are you talking completely finished for sept? That would be really great to see, ol Rusty wont be finished but should be roadworthy next summer, I will be done messing around with the Chevy by the end of the month then I got a shitload of stuff to do for Rusty, mainly take it apart and finish up and paint the frame and underside of the car and blast the front clip and doors and ...and...and well you get the idea ;)

    Koolkemp....

You've done a man's job on this car so far, but after welding up all the rust and such on the bottoms of the doors, have you provided a way for the water to get out? Cause it will get in there again, either due to condensation or rain past the window seals....

You need some sort of holes to allow it to drain in the future, something at the lowest point and outside of the door seals will do the job....

Let us know what you come up with....
