ok next im working on the inner fender wells im going to modify them and do a reverse tub meaning im going to move them outward to get some room in the engine bay im going to work on one side at a time to show the difference when im done it should look factory

first i had to remove the orig under coating so instead of grinding it for a couple of days i decided to use the air chisel on a low speed and it all cam off really quick

    Hey Joel, get well soon!
You are fortunate, a ruptured appendix can quickly turn into a crisis.

Give yourself time to heal, you need to be healthy for Mama and the family!

  8. Ouch dude! get some rest and we will be waiting for updates.

Hey, I hope your surgeon didn't use an air chisel turned down low. Seriously, that was a good idea on those inner fenders.

  16. hey joel are you missing any trim parts ? i have eliminated alot on my car and i would rather see somebody use them than sitting and gathering dust on a shelf ,
i have front fender side stainless, outer door handles , front clearance light glasses, and stainless covers, hood front badges , side plymouth badges, lower rocker trim ( i think just one is real good other has dents ) wing windows with frames ,
pm me if you need any of it and send me your info ,
    keep up the work

still tender in the belly but going to be working on the car again probably today :)
    the pain was indescribable
had an upset stomach sunday while working on the car by afternoon i asked my buddy to drive me to e.r. they had me wait a hour before they could see me i was on one knee with my arm on the counter in pain waiting in front of admitting refusing to sit on the chairs out of sight i told the lady if i had to wait then they are going to have to see me in plain sight when i pass out lol
after they let me in they did a quick scan and rushed me to surgery it was a close call

here is what i did sunday
this is the inner fender well upside down with the lower skirt unscrewed from it my goal was to modify it by giving me more room but still retain stock metal i sliced a pie cut into it and over lap the remaining edges once i weld them back together i will bolt the lower skin back on which will take the new shape perfectly instant mini tub

Hi Joel - When I had my appendix out, they told me I wasn't supposed to be lifting anything more than 10 pounds for a week. The muscles can rupture past the edges of the cuts and it gets really bad. So be careful, like lots of people I love this build and your can-do attitude.

notches added to make the metal go in a straight line
    [IMG]

looks sloppy but its not very strong weld im proud
    [IMG]

all lined up now to flip it over
    [IMG]

grinded down one last time this will be coated with under coat so i dont have to finish the surface
