    X2, Doc!

What a classic shot. ONE PIC sums up the TWO REASONS young guys have always
wanted to build 'rods and customs:D: (1) build somethin' with your own hands and
brain that's faster and louder than stock, and (2) chicks love a guy, with a brain and
hands, who's faster and louder than stock!

'Rodders are just the modern-day version of the old explorers, soldiers-of-fortune,
    big-game hunters, mountain men, test pilots, 49ers, wild-catters, war vets, heroes . . .
in short, the guys who ask, "What if?" then get dirty going and DOING it!;)

Win or lose, better to be gored to death than bored to death, right?

Hmmm??? Since the place you never
where, didn't exist, there couldn't have
been any maps or charts to that place, so
therefore, the C17 that did or didn't take
you there, must have been on a regularly
scheduled flight to some other place, that
did exist and got woefully off course and
lost and landed there by accident. Yeah,
that's the ticket! "Lost", "off course"
and "landed by accident"!!! But no
worries, Doc. Your secret's still safe with all
of us here on the HAMB - because neither the
HAMB, nor any of us, for that matter, officially
exist either! By the way - (and totally 'off the
record', for security reasons of course) - your
name is "Doc" isn't it? Hmm????:D:D:D

Submitted for your approval: A young, battle-weary
Australian medic in a strange and foreign place feels
somehow at home. Is it, perhaps, Deja Voodoo?
Or, has he just crossed over to . . .

    "The HAMB Zone"??? :cool::p

TeamQuad were the clear favorite, but their undoing came when pilot Eric had

I find it odd that this user 'ranfla' used to have plenty of posts, now only 1,,??
back in post #24881 I made a comment to user ranfla to go make his intro after making his first post in this thread,, now user ranfla has only 1 post again? So I wonder did ranfla delete all his posts? or did his userid get hijacked by someone else?
    inquiring minds want to know...

Sure seems a fair question to me too. Ranfla now has no profile and NO posting history, though he was posting often recently. I went back over 12 pages, no Ranfla. I also checked Post #24,881 specifically, which addressed Ranfla's lack of an intro. It does seem odd that someone who just says he/she checked out over 1,000 pages of the thread suddenly drops to ONE post, and still no profile nor posting history.

Ranfla, would you yourself care to illuminate us here on the mystery? Lest you feel offended, please don't be. We love Dog's thread, and we do unofficially police it, to take a bit of pressure off Ryan and the other moderators, you know?

  11. Interesting photo. Look at the sprocket size under the third rider. And was the fourth man chain going forward, must have some kind of set up that his pedals a re independent of the rear wheel. They must have some kind of gearing/set up that my old eyes are not seeing...

Makes you wonder how fast a "quad" bike could go with modern day derailer gearing.

The guy on the back and the one in front of him have small sprokets on the left side of the bike which appear the same size or close. They may be the brakemen.

Actually if you enlarge the pic abit you can see number1 drives #2' inner sprocket and #2 and number 4 drive #3's sprocket one on the road side one on the curb side, then 3# has 2 curb side gears one of wich is the small size and oe the large drive sprocket.

The large one then drives a small on on the rear wheel.
