Good score!! Hell I'd be happy to drive the wheels off it just like it is, good conversation piece at the rod runs.

Bob, That car has been kind of driving me bananas...I love 58 Impalas and 36 3 windows esp as taildraggers...I saw that car when it got to his house and couldnt believe the condition of it. The body is near perfect and the old cheater slicks with the vintage splinter mags gave it a really kool look...I was really hoping he would finish the car in the direction it was headed but still is a great foundation for you to do the car the right way. To think he bought the convert one month then to find this one about 10 miles away from the other is crazy...I wanted to take the plunge on it myself but i have waaay too much stuff going on as is but glad to see it go to a good home...Congrats.

That really is a nice find.

Hard to believe someone would just store a car for 50 years!!!!!!!!!!

Just goes to show you there are great barn fines still out there.

    Good Luck Jimbo

Thanks and yes, it'll be at Syracuse just about as it sits. I don't plan on doing anything else to it until fall.

Thanks for the positive comments and for sharing my good luck & excitement in getting one of my dream cars.

My plans are to make this a late-50's hot rod that I would have had, if I could have afforded it back then. Hopefully my still meager skills will produce a much better and safer ride than would have been possible back then!

Some guys have all the luck!

All those '35-'36's really need are '41-'46 Chevy headlight buckets.

Congrats on going for your dream! I too was 15 in '61. Was lucky to drive a stock '35 5 window that year. What I remember most was having to plan 2 blocks ahead to stop. I just went for my dream last year and bought a '34 3 window hot rod and am having a ball with it. This one has juice brakes!

'Bout the time you were wanting one as a kid, there was a guy in my town who had one of every '36 Ford made, or so it seemed. None were for sale. He used the sedan delivery in his business daily. It and the 3W coupe were my favs and I wasn't even a Ford guy. I went by his place often to ogle the collection. Don't bother buying a lottery ticket 'cuz you've already hit the jackpot! Congrats on finding that dream car!! Maybe you'd like to drop by the Jalopyrama with it this fall?

Super score! Ever since back in the day a friend of mine had a 36 five window, I always wanted a 36 coupe as well.

It'll be parked out in the big parking lot. I have no interest in getting there at 5:00am to get a "power" spot.........:D Probably even have some of my wife's chocolate chip cookies available, too.

Boards! Love / hate relashionship! Guy finds a car he has been dreaming of all his life and the first post is bashing him. I say it is sweet, nice find, Looks very straight and he will have a blast with it! I bet he feels 30 years younger right now! Good job.
