I sold that same brand of paper as a kid in the late '50's and early '60's. It was a weekly out of PA. Not sure about much of anything else. Lived in the country and sold them door to door by subscription. Wow, does that ever bring back memories. I think I have a picture of me with the bag used to carry the paper when I was delivering it.

OK, either this is in Richmond, Virginia, Elkins, West Virginia, or Harding, West Virginia. The tag appears to be Virginia, so my guess is Richmond.

It's the unusual window arangment that was being pointed out, they are a different shape and there is an indented panel behind the quarter window that the 2 door wagon Chevs like that never had in North America.

    Whoops, too late. ;)

They used to teach the Normandy fire in the US Navy Firefiighting School. The ship was ruined and capsized by firefighters on the pier that had no idea that pouring tons of water on a ship can affect stability. We used it as a demonstration of some of the side effects that are present in sea borne firefighting....cool pic though

Indeed , it's Richmond Virginia . This shot shows the Boulevard , North bound to the THEN UNDER CONSTRUCTION Interstate 95 also known formerly as the Richmond Petersburg Turnpike . Thank God they finially took the dammn tolls of that deathtrap too as I was a wrecker driver that serviced the area .......... The Esso on the left became a Pure Oil station , now Niel Chasen painters/ interiors . The Lawerence Dodge moved west in 1970.......... scrubba
