So, how are you guys dealin' with this heat??? Got working AC in yer rides??? I was out mowing the lawn yesterday in this mess.. Then went to mom's and cut her lawn. Looks like another scorcher today..
I mostly try to stay inside with the AC on until later in the evening. I got a little done to the truck Monday night. I'm not so interested in those that have AC in their rides as much as I am in those that have AC in their shops. My garage is about twelve inches deeper than my truck is long. If I'm gonna work on the truck, I have to open the door and push the truck back a couple of feet to make room. No way to heat or cool the garage with the door open.
AC took a **** at home, dont have it in any ride except the Pickup..pretty much sick of it being this hot this early in the season.. hard to get much done on the hot rod in this heat but like pete says, not shoveling snow
Heat wave? it was 85 here a couple days ago, but woke up this morning and its 45 degrees out and raining.. Welcome to ND.
Too late! I already shaved my head 2 weeks ago.. I get to show off my battle scares from the brain surgery..
I am from Oregon, It may rain alot there and be a little warm ( 85-95) in the summer. But now I am in Topeka KS and this **** ****s!!!! Wat to freakin sticky and hot. Any bare metal sweats and turns brown. Wifes car and house have AC. Cant even think about going into the shop to try and work unless its midnight. Yuck
It is normal wheat harvest weather here for us. Over a hundred and very windy. Got to be tough to live out here....or dumb.
4-70 AC & BF-fan in shop . Sweat don't hurt nuttin , but it will make ya rust. "AND THE BOWTIE ROLLS ON"
I know how that feels... Best way to beat the heat is to wrap a wet towel (soaked in cold water) around your neck.. That's what I had to do to stay in those hot shops...
Got some work done on my truck yesterday. Planned on doing more today but that heat beat me up yesterday. I feel like I got hit by a truck, might just stay in the ac today and hydrate
Barely hit 60 here yesterday in Oregon. Been like this all spring. I heard in Tahoe there will be some skiing in July this year. Apparently Al Gore's carbon credits system is only working on the west coast. It will move east eventually and you will all be a lot cooler.
I still haven't hooked up the window unit to the bedroom.. I'm still using the box fan for now.... I'll probably change it out later this evening...
You guys up north don't have to worry too much. It will cool off soon. Down here in TX it won't cool off till October.
actually once we get into july and august here in the northeast it can frequently stay in the 90's. Our problem up here is the humidity. Its not the heat that bothers us; its the humidity that really kills you. Its forcasted to be 98 today and 105 tomorrow. It will feel even hotter with the nasty humidity. I will agree though; i'd much rather prefer to drive my ******* jeep around in the rays of the sun...then shovelling 3 feet of snow on multiple occasions like we did last winter.

No AC in my DD, a 65 F100. I really need to get AC in the house. I work on a farm so I was out in the heat yesterday clearing a field. Not fun but not having money isn't very fun either.
get your ******* unbunched already... it's summer... high 90's here and into the 100's here in NC, with a ton of humidity, just like every year.
Just roll the windows down on your ride (if it has em) and drive the piss out of it. Like stated above its 110+ in Iraq. We got it good here, and no one is blowing our **** up with IED's.
Im gunna go with dumb, haha. Wife's already pissed at me because the heat. Our a/c took a dump at the house, so it is a lovely 90+ inside the house at night. Course it doesnt help she's got a bean growing in her tummy, that adds to the at***ude! ha.
