Absolutely amazing!! Great story, great photos, and by the looks of it, great times. In my travels around Europe, I've been to/seen many of those places, but never in one of my rods. I think I may have found the newest item on the bucket list.

One day I hope to do a trip like that. Hopefully in my own rod shipped over, too. Thanx for the trip report and pix. It looks just wonderful. Gary

  7. Another A for AWESOME...

Out of curiousity, how long (days/weeks) would one suggest to do a trip like that? Family have been considering travelling into that part of the world, hence curiosity....don't want to rush it;):D:)

    Cheers,

    Drewfus:)

Thanks for the ride! I was at Stuggart twice and didn't get to see the Porsche museum either time. Now that you've shown me a bit of what's in there, I'm really cryin'!

Awesome road trip thread!! The only thing that could have made a great road trip thread awesome is that slick 3-window!

    Thanks for sharing!

    Enbloc,
Thanks for including so many fine pics during your cruise. An amazing journey...done in a '36 too.

  17. Great feedback from everybody.

I'm always nervous with holiday write ups.

If I did the same trip again I'd aim to try and stay at a different location every night along the route. Because we spent 3 days at the 'Ring it ment we only had another 3 days to cram everything else into. This ment we had to motor hard, clocking up 400 + miles a day to keep on target for each stop. Because of that we had very little, if no time to stop at anything that caught your eye on the way.

  19. Wow, this is by far the best thread on the HAMB. This is what it's all about, I have long dreamed of driving a custom as beautiful as yours across Europe. You are living the dream!

Surprisingly, very few British rodders take road trips like this across Europe in rods, and most won't venture more than 2 hours from home for a show either!

Clark humbles us with not only the quality his uber-cool '36 but his willingness and confidence to drive it the distance too!

    Beautiful trip and story!
I nominate that Ryan add a Road Trip tag so posts like this and Bass' are easy to find.

L.P. i couldn't agree more. Made our mission for next year to put the cars on a ferry and do a euro show. I love working on cars but prefer driving them and next year will see alot more miles to different shows. Road trips are what does it for me, the whole excitment of not knowing if we're all going to make it, the roadside fixes, the pure buzz of driving with your mates. Nothing cooler than seeing a few mad old cars travelling down the road together and racking up some serious distance.

Brillaint pics of a great car and trip. Truely inspiring!
