Del Valle is nice, but crazy hot if we are talking August. I would say Alameda or closer to the bay if we do August. Nobody like broiling if they can avoid it

Hayward has a nice park. Pretty centrally located. Your sure to get most of the Satan's Angels. But wherever it is I'll be there. Don't forget Thursday tomorrow Elios in San Leandro.

Also look into Alum Rock Park in San Jose....lots of parking, picnic tables, playground and a vollyball sand court. Plus, it's all under tall redwoods, oaks and eucalyptus groves, so it stays cool when the temps are high.

I agree on the Swiss Park Idea, the Vultures used to have their Asphalt Invitational there. One of the best locations to have a car show!

But it's hot in the south in the summer. Your air is stagnate. The East Bay always has that nice cool breeze. Swiss Park is the place.

The Warehouse at Port Costa is cool. Dusty parking, though.

Martinez is a good spot, or in Vallejo is Dan Foley Park it's across the lake from Six Flags. It has a good size parking lot right at the large playarea, baseball field, and a large picnic ground there too. Parking is $4 per car. Just a thought...

Swiss Park seems to be popular choice but I did a google map and the place looks like it is a small park with the parking lot too far removed? The one across the street from Newpark Mall right? Looks tiny? Am I missing something? Also heard they charge $$ to use the park

Lake Elizabeth in Newark looks okay.. but checking out their website it looks like you have to pay $$$ to reserve picnic areas.

Jeez... can't people just show up to a park anymore for free??

Was also told that Quarries Lake in Newark is very nice with plenty of parking... there is a $5 charge to enter the parking area but it looks good. With plenty of first come first serve (FREE) areas for picnic/parking. Might be the winner?

    What do you guys think?

I still want to explore Coyote Point in San Mateo... but really starting to like things in Hayward/fremont area... just the most centrally located.
