Definitely looks cool. Liked the thin lines, but these stepped it up. cj

  3. I like em, radial or bias ply? And what size are they?

  4. I agree 56 Ford Custom, I plan on using this and white in a two tone on my 60 when paint time comes! It was between April green and Adriatic green (60 Ford Car color).

Although I have seen some pics of a Goldenrod Yellow and white 60, that got me to thinking that I might end up going back to stock colors. Still have over a year to decide.

Anyone in the Modesto, CA area have a couple of steel rims for these Fords? I was going to have mine powder coated but found one was bad, I'd take a pair as the second one has some rust inside as well.

I believe standard stock size is: 15x6.5 or 7" for a Ford 9" rear end.

My soon to be daily. None too sure about the orange, and the black (it was originally a black truck) will probably change. It's an F250, so some other changes are in order.
Thanks, again, to Older'n Dirt for the lettering lesson!

Here’s something I can’t get out of my head lately: The 1958-1960 Ford cab seems to have perfect lines to go with a ‘70s Class C motorhome body. Toss in a 1961 Shasta travel trailer color and graphic scheme, and I think you’d really have something.

Oh how I miss my Effie :( Turquoise 1960 F100...lowered front end, white grille and bumpers....at least I've still got tabs on it after all these years.
My wife wants an old pickup and I'm TRYING to steer her to a '57 - '60 Ford!

Here is a little update on my 58 long bed to short bed project. I just got the SWB back from the blasters and its currently in expoxy primer. I need to do a little work to the right rear fender opening but other wise it's in good shape. This past week I was able to get the Sid's drop axle in the truck. I'm really happy with the outcome. I still need to bend the pitman arm and get an alignment. This is how the truck now sits with the Sid's 2.5" axle and mono-leafs with reversed eyes

hey matt, lookin cool. Regarding the shim, take a look at hotrod1959 thread on his yellow 59 or tim's crew cab. I believe both show the shim in place.

Matt, the '58 looks really good, it's a very good stance for it.

  26. Hey fellas, here is the 59 F100 the shop I work at is building. This is also my apprenticeship project. It's got some rust, the body is sitting on a newer twin I beam frame. Plan is tow rig.

and yes that troll thing was jammed in the lower bed corner..creepy as hell
