Went to Capitola car show Saturday it was nice. Saw a 1939 ford convertible with a rumble seat nice car .My friend took pictures will try to post later
I think I read that the entry fee was $80.00 that mean's I would have to hock one of my gold chains . lol
I went, its a great show. Its only $30 to enter for both sat and Sunday if you pre-register in advance. You pay 80-100 if you want to pay for a reserved spot which it there gold package. You get some other perks too, but for $30 bucks for 2 days, you would pay that to park downtown if they didnt have a show going on, and your right in the Village.
......and i quote from a text i recieved Saturday: "Best show i've ever been to. I'm amazed. It has everything and tons of bikinis." either this person needs to get out of the house/garage more often, has low expectations, or this was truly the greatest show on earth.
That is the rumble seat 1939 convert, never saw one or new of one.Weather was alot nicer at Capitola then Marina.
had to go to the Road Zombies on Saturday. I have a buddy that loves that Capitola show, he's got a nice 67 SS Chevelle. he makes a big ol weekend out of it with a bunch of other non HAMB types. goes every year. thought about going Sunday but farted around in the shop instead.
I didnt see much g**** smuggling, but did see plenty of melon smugglers. Great weather, good genre of cars, and plenty of lively drinking establishments. Yes a bit on the Doo Wop side, but the price was right and I will be returning to this show. Here are few pics I took with my Phone.
