Event Coverage $$$ Bad Bob's-"Ink-n-Iron",2011 Pic's$$$

I don't know where to start! Met up with Chevy54,and rolled out,friday morning. There were a few cars already in the show,The Cavaliers and The Crusaders,and a few others. It was about 7:05 so the rest started coming in around 8:10. The weather was cool,about 65deg.
Everybody was very polite and I got them parked without any issues. Many Clubs,Shredders,SatinsShriners,Sultans,Turks,I can't remember all of them...I counted about 120 or so,on Friday,but Friday is always a low count. I took over 1200+ pic's,cause there's ALOT to see at this show,hahaha! BEST people watching venue there is!!!! Only show that even comes close is VIVA.
The cars at this show are just a side dish,not the main focus. But I will say,the car part of this show has grown every year. I'd say over 200-220,by Saturday. Cars from Kansas,Vegas,New York,Arizona,Northan Cal,but mostly SoCal locals.

I still have a virus on my computer at home,so I can only put up small pic's. I might stay over and use my work computer,so I can get some on here. After 3:00(sorry!)

Nows a great time to reconize Bob, this guy worked tirelessly ALL weekend. I dont know how he found time to take any pics. He was forced to sleep on a park bench one night and never missed a beat.

He is a one man show, thanks for your hard work!

 

HAHAHAHA! Felt just like Red Skelton! Story to follow...

It's lots of work! BTW I'd like to commend the Cavaliers for steppng into the "HOST-CLUB"****le with great results! It's hard dealing with car guys who get to the show sober,drink a few,then want to leave before they are supposed to! The MoFo's have delt with it for years. It's an honor to be the host,but it comes with commitment. All the guys did a great job....
We even had to PUSH a '60 Caddy,WITH THE BOAT AND TRAILER still hooked up,to make room for more parking in front of the Venice,Devils,hahaha! On damp grass too!!!
That show NEVER lets me down for fun and drama.....Trace puts on a good event!!!

This Chevy was the MoFo's and the Crusaders pick,plus it won Best Custom. From the Scrapers......Chopped,bagged,Packard tailights,Dodge headlights....WOW!!!

Bob - I think you should have put after 3 Pacific time. Great show, we went on a whim on Saturday and we had a blast. The hospitality of everyone who was helping was great. Never have I seen everyone who*******ed the cars out shake the drivers hand and say thank you for coming and see you next year. All I could say was damn I should have taken my car oh well next year I will.

Thanks! Treat them right and they'll come back. I've done that since I started. Makes the guys feel appreciated,I think. I try to say something to every guy who brings a car. Even Cory,from LA Ink remembered my name from the last few years i've parked his panel. He's such a friendly guy. Can't walk 5feet without someone wanting his picture.

On a side note......ran into Bigdaddy! Said HI,shook his hand,talked a little about losing his friend,Santa Maria,and his love for pinstrip panels. Couldn't have been more pleasant. Let the past be past....moved on.
