I figure since nobody else was going to mention it I probably should. So who's all going to this years Heavy Rebel Weekender? North Carolina as well all know is lacking in hot rod and custom car shows so I think it'd be cool if we can get as many of us HAMB member out there to show all them dumpster driving types what up!!

The venue is AWESOME, the people are GREAT and good times are PLENTIFUL!!!

So all I wanna know is who's coming with me???

Iron Lords will be there and we're going to be helping with the parking for the show. Hopefully we all can cruise up together in a long line of cool cars and represent North Carolina and what it has to offer.

LET US KNOW IF YOU'RE COMING AND WHAT YOU'RE DRIVING!!!!

What we should do is have the tweaker Chrome an engine roller from Northern Tool and take it up in your truck bed like they used to! How bad ass would that be? C'mon you know you want to!

Hope you can make it man. Come for the day and shoot out to MD after the show. You could be there by 10pm then!!!

I am down to load that engine up and haul it. I don't know about spending a ton to chrome an engine dolly though, haha! I've got other stuff to chrome more important. :D

That is the same weekend as the Dawsonville Ga Moonshine Festival, but I guess I can miss it this year.

What day and time are the iron lords rolling out? I may hang out for a bit and then drive to MD. I just need a date and time and see if it will work out!

We'll be there around 8am on July 2nd which is the Saturday. So figure a 6am leaving time form our shop in Concord to get up to Winston Salem by 8 I'd imagine.

I am really hoping that this years show will turn up all the good stuff that we know NC is hiding. There are a ton of really cool cars in this state and area but it seems that a lot of them don't make it to these local shows. I wish I had something to drive but you know how that goes....

Also remember guys, if you dont dig your scene then be the change that you want to see. The Iron Lords are based out of Concord, you honestly think Concord had anything going on until we all got together and made it happen.

there are dudes with crappy cars that think they are cool but maybe thats because they haven't actually seen a dialed ride yet.

as previously stated none of us are born cool, we all liked some questionable stuff when we first got into this, ( I still do :) ) I don't know, maybe its the social worker in me, but if we all show up and influence people that possess the ability to get "it" then thats more people dialed, soon enough we'll be like california! j/k...

    Calm down Terd...

Who would have thought after all those emails that I sent trying to get the Heavy Rebel coverage along with some other stuff all I had to do is start a thread.

I'm curious NOTSTOCKPHOTOG, what is it that you love about the show? I think it would get people interested if some people shared their experiences. I've only been once and it was 3 years ago.

I am not NOTSTOCKPHOTOG but I will say that some of the things that I dig about the show is first off the venue, downtown Winston Salem is pretty rad, lots of good music, the ladies (shhhh....) and the just all around good time I've always had there. I have been for the last 7 or 8 years and I have always had a blast. The cars are getting better every year as well :D

so if you know some one with a dialed ride in the piedmont area invite them!

oh and did I mention, THE CAR SHOW IS FREE!

I think it cost like 10 beans to register but to get in is fo free :D :D :D

You got that right about the venue. It's an awesome spot that could only be better if there was a carnival at the end of the street for 4th of July.

I'm always skeptical about the cars that are going to be at shows here in the South but after seeing some pics from last years including that '36 with the OLDS engine in it that alone is worth the trip. I am not sure how we can get the word out more then this since there's only 2 weeks left but by all means tell everybody you know to hit up the show!!!!

And for all you family guys, I know it's kind of weird to have the show on the day most people will be celebrating the 4th but you can head to the show for a bit and still have time to see fireworks elsewhere if you have other plans. It's pretty centrally located.

I believe the car show is only SATURDAY. The other days are the music festival that goes on through out the weekend.

We're all meeting at the shop and then rolling out form there up to Winston Salem to get there by 8 at the latest I'd assume. I'll have to talk to everyone tomorrow to see if we can't get a game plan solidified. I'm probably going to drive up in my silverado in case I have to leave early or what not.
