Whoa! I have to go away a few hours, and you guys post a ton of great pix of keen project-worthy cars and trucks, not to mention parts-wagons and artful shots, as well.

Hell, since you're having so much fun, you newer guys on the thread, please go to the top of any page and vote us a 5-star rating, so we can keep bringing more new folks here with MORE vintage tin shots! THANKS! Fun day, everybody!

    Voted!

Here is one from the now extinct Seven Sons yard in Brighton, CO - which I unfortunately only got to spend about 25 minutes in one day and then did not make it back to in time for a more thorough tour.

    Ditto Bomb!

These are from an extinct car dealership called Classical Gas that had two locations in northern Colorado. The first one is from the Milliken location and the second is from their Eaton location.

Australia seems to have quite a few cool relics laying around. Thanks for posting them.

Dan - cool pics. I have been to Classical Gas! That guy drags in some neat rigs. I also toured the 3 or 4 wrecking yards in the area. They were full of old stuff back in 1999 when I was down there. Fun scouting junk in Northern Colorado!

Dang, Dan! That Frazer is the nicest one I've seen, sitting in a junkyard! Even the jewels still seem to be all there.

Thanks ChoppedMerc and Jimi. ChoppedMerc - do you by any chance know what the names of the yards were or where they were? I did not know about them and would like to check them out. I would also like to know about any great yards anywhere where there are a good percentage of pre 65 cars and the owner is amenable to letting someone like me photograph them.

Here are a few more Kaisers and Fraziers from Peyton

I would love to go to Belgium and see them.

  20. Sad to see a '57 Bel Air slowly turning into something like you would find in that Belgian forest. It looks like it might be a well optioned car judging from the bumper guards and mirrors. Hopefully someone has rescued it by now.

Yeah, that's about as sad an old car as I've seen anywhere!:( I don't normally
show preserved cars:rolleyes:, but I think the pic BELOW provides a little bit of uplifting
--maybe needed? -- CONTRAST, folks!:D The Diplomat is in a private collection
    in Mexico, FYI.

I heard a couple of years back that the '57 is still there, but the owners will not sell it. Nor are they doing anything with it themselves.

Here's one that lives in my very own neightborhood - I have seen it as recently as 2 days ago.

Dan THANKS for showing this one, a "sad-eyed Hupp"! Hupp's most popular model that year;),
though it still only sold about 6,300 cars. It had a respectable 245-CID L-head, built by Hupp,
as were the company's sixes and an eight. Too bad this company had to burn out. But at
only about $825, the Series 518 was still getting its butt kicked, pricewise, by the likes of Chevy,
Plym/Dodge and Ford! Sad, but a smaller company just couldn't achieve competitive unit prices.:(

from 1936! It lives in Virginia.

  29. I would agree that looks like one. They were about 4800 total imported to the USA in '72 and '73. The US was the biggest importer of these cars during those years.
