Dickster27 is the man! I was having all kinds of trouble with the three 94's on the sbc in my Model A. Several phone conversations with***** later and the problem is solved. If any of you have multi carb issues give him a call. He's as nice as can be and very knowledgable.
Maybe you could repost the details of problems you were having and what he suggested for solutions. The information would be good to add to general the 'HAMB knowledge bank' and thus maybe in future, save others a bunch of headaches with their own similar set-ups. Mart3406 ====================
This is my first time dealing with multiple carbs, so much of it was new to me. The biggest issue was that it would run ok with the choke closed, but as soon as I would open it up it would stumble and die. Additionally, it was way rich at idle. Too much fuel, right? Nope, too much air. First attempt was drilling out the idle tubes on the center carb. Theory was that it was not getting enough air that way, so the carb was drawing more in on it's own. The extra vacuum was then drawing in more fuel. This was the problem, but it was not the idle tubes. The last solution was to completely close the air bleeders on the end carbs and check to see that the*****erflies were completely closed at idle. They were not. Some simple linkage adjustments were all it took and it's great now. I'm quite sure it would have been a simple fix had***** been there in person, but Im really happy that we were able to figure it out with a few phone calls. I might still be grasping at straws if I hadn't contacted him. Like I said, he's the man!
